How to Advertise Your College Town Rental on StudentRent.com
Published October 17, 2026
StudentRent.com connects students with student friendly housing near their schools. This guide walks property owners and managers through advertising a rental here, from setting up an account to answering the first inquiry.
1. Create your account
Register as a property manager and confirm your email address. Your account is where you create and manage all your listings.
2. Create a listing that stands out
A complete listing gets more attention. Include:
- The basics: address, rent, bedrooms, bathrooms and housing type.
- Great photos: bright, clean and in every room. (See Tips for Creating High-Quality Rental Listing Photos.)
- A clear description: finishes, features, and what’s close by.
- Costs and terms: deposit, fees, lease length, utilities and move-in date.
- Amenities: laundry, parking, pets, furnished and more. These help your listing show up when students filter.
3. Get found by students
Students search StudentRent.com by school and see rentals on a map, so an accurate address and location matter. Use plain, specific words in your description (for example, the name of the nearby campus or neighborhood) and keep your availability up to date. Share your listing’s link on social media, too.
4. Answer inquiries promptly
Students send questions through your listing and you reply by email. Fast, friendly replies build trust. Provide the information students ask about most (cost, availability, lease terms, how to apply) and screen applicants consistently, following fair housing law.
5. Choose the plan that fits
Listing plans are on the pricing page, so you can choose what fits the number of properties you manage.
